I am visiting to Switzerland from UAE, we have purchased 5 online half fare card from my account with proper passenger details, and received the tickets instantly. Now I was trying to book Matterhorn peak to peak ticket and utilizing “reduced SBB swiz pass holder” option and it says “Please note that discounted tickets are exclusively available with a valid SBB half-fare/GA travelcard and must be charged onto the SwissPass card. Please carry the SwissPass card with you (mobile SwissPass is not possible).” Does this mean that I have to have a physical card? or do they mean I can carry print out of my electronic tickets? Appreciate your help. Thanks.

Holding the Swiss Half Card, you can’t buy the tickets in advance, but you can at the base station in Zermatt, by showing the Swiss Half Fare Card. You can present it as an e-ticket.

It is not recommended to buy mountain excursion tickets in advance. The weather plays a major part in the mountains, it would mean a waste of money in case of bad weather.
