Surveillance cameras on RE train for theft identification

Hi,

My backpack containing iPad was stolen on the regional train from Lausanne to Grandson. The SBB lost and found service has not found anything in the last 9 days.

I contacted the railway police (0800 117 117) to ask if they can access the surveillance cameras to identify the thief. They said they cannot help with baggage and gave me the number of SBB lost and found services again.

Is there a way to ask someone to identify the thief using the surveillance cameras?

If the Lost & Found service has not received your backpack with your IPad and you think it has been stolen, I advise you to check directly with the regional police.

SBB police sent to SBB office and SBB office send you to SBB police. Its all back and forth but no action 😞
Theft on SBB trains is so common these days

As far as I know, camera images are only analysed if you file a criminal complaint with the police. They are not evaluated if you simply lost your baggage.
