Validity of point to point ticket on PE train

hello, I am traveling from Luzerne to Wengen, via PE train to interlaken Ost. However, I would like to stop at Brienz and take a break. By purchasing a point-to-point ticket on the travel date, am I allowed to take off at Brienz, and get on a later PE train to interlaken on the same date? If it is allowed without extra charge, what happens to our reservation of seats? i.e. I know I need to reserve for seat for PE train, what happens when we get on a later train from Brienz to continue our journey? Thank You.

The seat reservation is valid for a specific train. The reservation does not apply if you take another train/connection.

If you cannot reserve your seat via the website, you can always call us at the following number: +41 0848 44 66 88 (CHF 0.08/min).

In addition to what @StéphanieB said, I wish to say that the PE from Luzern to Interlaken Ost does not require a seat reservation - it is optional. Therefore, you can alight as many times you want. Alternatively, you could take the boat from Brienz to Interlaken, a very recommended, scenic boat cruise.
