I would like to ask some questions for a journey with reference to the following example:

If I purchase a point-to-point ticket from Grindelwald to Zermatt, can I stop at Interlaken OST for a while? I have searched the website of SBB but could not find any information for this scenario, although many people say it is allowed.

Will the cost of a point-to-point ticket vary with time? If I miss the train(s), am I allowed to take the next train according to the search result on SBB website and would not incur extra charges / being fined?

I understand that super saver ticket only applies to a specific train number. Thank you in advance for your help.

The price of point to point ticket is fixed. The ticket allows you to travel from A to B within the day you bought it until 5 am next day. You can use any train you want on the route you bought and make a pause whenever you want. Of course you cannot do back tracing. And if there are multiple routes to your destination you need also pay a little bit attention on that. But usually when you search on SBB’a app or website on the payment page you can read in the journey detail “via ……” for example your journey will be shown as via Interlaken ost, lötschberg, visp. trains in the schedule with the same route are then covered with your point to point ticket.
