Domodossola to Martigny_replacement service during construction works at the end of August?

Hi, all, my plan was to take train from Milan to Martigny with the final destination being Le Chable (Verbier). However I now found out that the section between Domodossola (IT) and Brig (CH) will be closed for construction at the time I am travelling. On the sbb.ch webpage I see options to buy tickets from Domodossola to Martigny. I am wondering how will that work? Will there be any replacement buses for the section until Brig? Can the timetables can be trusted? I guess what I am asking is if it is safe to book a ticket, is it possible that the connection wil be completelly shut? I do not want to be stranded. My whole holidays would be in jepardy 🙂

The construction work will only affect the route between Milan and Domodossola from August, 21st to September, 10th.

To travel from Milan to Domodossola, replacement buses and/or regional trains are provided. Trains from Switzerland to Domodossola and from Domodossola to Switzerland are not subject to changes.

The EuroCity 54 (16:48) from Domodossola to Basel SBB is guaranteed, as is the InterRegio 3030 (17:48) to Brig. You can therefore trust the online timetable, which is up to date.

MelanieD On AUgust 25th. Depending on the connection from Milan I would like to take the train 16:48 (EC Train to Basel) or 17:48 (IR Train to Brig).
