This afternoon 23rd September, I took the 13.50 service from Sierre to Geneva. Between Lausanne and Geneva, a young black man in his thirties came through the carriage I was in and approached every passenger with his hand out asking for money. I assume he hadn’t used any to purchase a ticket. Unfortunately, I’ve got used to drug addicts demanding money around stations in major cities and even on the platforms, and I would never leave luggage unattended on a train inn order to use the toilet for fear of it being stolen. However, this is the first time I’ve been harassed directly for money on the train. Has anyone else had this experience? And if anyone from the CFF is reading this - are you aware of this problem and doing something to stop it? Thank you.
