Can I pay for parking at the SBB station at the ticket machine just before exiting or do I have to pay ahead of time? I took a ticket upon entering the parking lot and was expecting to pay at the machine when returning from my trip. I am now confused if I had to pre pay? I am at the Lugano station.

If you were at the Lugano parking with barrier (Lugano Sud), you can pay by scanning your SwissPass Card or directly at the parking meter before going out.

Lugano station has also another parking lot (Lugano Nord), where you can buy your ticket online or via P+Rail App (also in advance).
