I found a half fare card under the section for travelers from abroad, for $120. When I attempted to check out and purchase the card, I got an error that says “An error occurred while processing your query.” And I am not able to proceed.

After looking around a little more I found another selection for a half fare card for $165. Is the $120 option no longer available? I am only going to be in switzerland for a few days, but I maybe be able to save some money on transport if the half fare card only cost me $120. However, if it’s $165 I don’t think I would save any money.

The Swiss Half Fare Card at CHF 120 is still available and the right offer for your. The one for 165/185 is more for residents.

The reason why you could not complete your process is most likely your credit card. It has to support 3ID secure.

You can try to purchase it from the Swiss Travel Center instead or use another credit card.

Thank you for the prompt response. When I get the error, I have not even gotten to the point of entering my credit card info. I’ll try again later and see if I’m missing something.

If I am successful in purchasing the half fare card, is that mailed to me so I have to wait until I get it to use it? Or is something I can use right away?
