Hello,

I wonder how I can buy a point to point bike ticket for my trip from Zurich HB to Göschenen (IR46) since when I’m going to buy a 1× Supersaver Ticket and I add one bike it charges me 1× Day Bike Pass.

Also I would like to confirm I can travel in the train without packing the bike.

The cost of a point-to-point half fare ticket is CHF 19, while the Bike day pass is CHF 14. So the system helps you save money.

Supersaver tickets are not valid for bicycles.

If you pack your bicycle into a Tranzbag, it is free of charge.

Without Tranzbag, you need a ticket for it; there is, however, no guarantee for transportation in case of too many passengers or bicycles on the train. The space is very limited.

I am a bit confused. You say: “Supersaver tickets are not valid for bicycles.”. Does this mean that we can not take our bikes with us when we have a “supersaver ticket”?

Or do you mean that we can buy a supersaver ticket, but have to buy an additional “day bike pass” if we want to take our bikes with us?

I am sorry if my guidance was confusing.

Bicycles need a ticket provided they are not foldable or transported in a TranZbag.

My statement was, you cannot buy a Supersaver ticket for the bicycle itself - Supersaver tickets are valid for humans or dogs only.

You are welcome to travel on a Supersaver ticket yet for your bike you either need a normal half fare ticket or the Bike Day Pass (if the ½ fare ticket exceeds the cost of a Bike Day Pass being CHF 14), plus a reservation for IC trains, where applicable.

Does my answer clear up the confusion?
