Hello,

I have a client that will be traveling to Switzerland next month and Her and her son are both Swiss Citizens, she is wondering if the Family Certificate she received will be enough to be able to get the rail discounts at the station? or is there a way she can also purchase them online?

What kind of rail discounts is the customer interested in?
And yes, you can buy the Swiss Travel Pass and the Swiss Half Fare Card online at the following link: International guests | SBB

MelanieD Thank you for the info. She is under the impression Swiss citizens get a discounted fare, is this the case? But all she has to prove it is her family certificate at the moment

Discounts are available for our international customers, for example Swiss Travel Pass with Swiss Family Card. The Swiss Travel Pass has been developed for guests from abroad. It is available to persons permanently resident outside Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein. There are no extra reductions or discount if a person lives abroad and has a Swiss passport.
