Travel from Venice to Interlaken w/ Swiss Half Fare

Do you think it is a cheaper option taking an TernItalia from Venice to Domodossola and then from Domodossola to Interlaken taking advantage to Swiss Half Fare? Is it a simple train transfer in Domo? Thanks.

A change of trains is not needed, regardless of the ticket. If you want to benefit from the Swiss Half Fare Card, you simply have to split the tickets: Venice to Domodossola and Domodossola to Interlaken. A seat reservation is needed for the Venice to Domodossola stretch only.

Compare ticket prices. It might be more beneficial to buy a Venice to Interlaken direct ticket, rather than to split it just because of the Half Fare Card.

Thank you very much @RolandP for your response. The travel is after a month only. I should buy the Swiss Half Fare with the start date of my travel day; then get the Venice–>Domo to Domo–>Interlaken and the portal will auto calculate the best price? And the same will apply when I travel from Lucerne–>Paris through Basel? Thanks.

@RolandP - I am planning to get Swiss Half Fare and Berner Oberland Pass. Since Domo-Interlaken is covered under BO pass, can I still buy the tickets from Venice to Interlaken through SBB site? Thanks for taking time to reply.

Again, in this case, you only need a ticket from Venice to Domodossola including a seat reservation. From Domodossola you can travel with your activated BO Pass, and you do not need a seat reservation.
