Hello Lee2
I want to buy the day pass for two but I don’t have a half fare card and my friend has a half-fare card. Still can I be the one to buy the day pass for two?
Sure! You can purchase the Day Pass for 2 while your friend simply holds the Half Fare Card. The conditions require that one of the two persons holds a Half Fare Card, no matter whom.
We will be coming from different places and then meet, so would it be okay for the inspection when we are not together in the beginning of the journey and also at the end of the journey?
No, this is not possible. A person who holds the Day Pass for 2 *and* at the same time the Half Fare Card is allowed to travel alone. The other person must buy a regular ticket to reach the meeting point. However, since you hold the Day Pass for 2 and your friend the Half Fare Card, neither you nor friend is allowed to travel alone. You both must buy a regular ticket to the place where you will meet each other. From there, you can travel together with the Day Pass for 2. When you buy the Day Pass for 2, you must carry your passport or your official national ID card, or driving licence with you, as e-tickets without Half Fare Card need an ID.
Kind regards,
Roland
