Jungfrau, Half Fare Card v Swiss Travel Card (Tourist)

Hello Everyone
My wife and I will be visiting Switzerland in May for 2 weeks, I’m working out our costs for our trip.
We will be visiting Jungfrau, as well as other destinations, ie Zermatt, Locarno, Zurich and Wengen for a while.

I’m trying to work out the best benefits of the Half Fare Card (CHF 120) v Swiss Pass first class (CHF 675).
As an example the trip to Jungfrau from Wengen is starts at CHF 162, with a Half Fare Card it’s CHF 81 and with a Swiss Pass it’s CHF 121.60

Is this right? I’m wondering why a Half Fare card gives you a bigger discount than the Swiss Pass, maybe it’s due to the Half Care Card holders needing to purchase a half fare on the train from their initial starting point.
My wife and I are not planning on visiting many museums which gives the Swiss Pass holders a benefit.
My spreadsheet for transport costs is is letting me know a half fare card would be better value for us.

Have I understood the Jungfrau costs correctly?

The Half Fare Card gives you 50% off on the Jungfraujoch trip, whereas the Swiss Travel Pass only gives you 25%. It is an oddity for which there really is no explanation.

A Half Fare card is usually the best option. It is what the Swiss themselves do, and you know what they say, when in Rome…

Two more notes:

If you are spending some time in the Bernese Oberland getting a Jungfrau Travel Pass, or the Berner Oberland Regional Pass may be good options. Prices of both are reduced with the HFC.
In Ticino most hotels give you the Ticino ticket nowadays, which gives you free travel on all public transit in the Canton. So a Swiss Travel Pass would have been superfluous there anyway.

I can also save further costs by buying my saver tickets well in advance, the half fare pass looks like the best deal.
