Swiss Travel Pass Validity

We are visiting Switzerland shortly and intend to buy a Swiss Travel Pass. One of the journeys will be travelling from Zurich to St Moritz by train. Is the Travel Pass valid for the whole of this journey? The reason I ask is that the area of validity map suggests that the section of the journey through the Vereina tunnel is at a 50% discount. I have spoken to SBB but I’m still not 100% clear whether its is or what I have to do if it isn’t.

Yes, the travel is fully covered. In certain Bernina Express coaches, should you intend to use this train, a seat reservation is required for the panorama coaches.

Be careful when studying the validity map and check the legend. Dashed lines do indicate the tunnel and have nothing in common with the pass validity. All tunnels are indicated with dashed lines, while a reduction would be indicated by a dotted line.

Hence, you are welcome to use the Vereina tunnel too with your Swiss Travel Pass.
