As part of a journey from Martigny to Paris, via Lausanne, the first part is an International extension ticket. the connections at Lausanne are very tight and I would like to get an earlier train for the first leg from Martigny to Lausanne, to give a longer change time. Does anyone know if the extension ticket is flexible. (ie buy the 8.48 from Martigny but travel on 8.15 from Martigny to connect with the same TGV from Lausanne)? Thank you

International extension tickets are either standard point-to-point tickets or Supersaver tickets.

If the extension ticket does not read “Supersaver ticket” and does not include the timetable on the ticket, yes, you can choose any train connection on that day.

You can when you buy a ticket indicate that you want longer connection times. You will find this under settings. That way, even if the connection ticket is a discounted supersaver ticket it will take in to account that you lake wasting your time at stations :-)
