That’s an absolute no-brainer. Get off the train, use the escalators up to the bridge that spans over the tracks and us the next escalator down, for platform 7. Done in 2 minutes.
We Swiss do like efficency, waiting at the station for the next train is not our thing. Therefore, the timetable does not offer connections which are per se not doable. You will see, once you got here.
In the unlikely event of a train delay resulting in a misconnection, SBB will rebook you for the next train.
However, if you have to catch a flight, plan enough buffer for the section Basel SBB to Frankfurt / Germany. The German railways are often facing greater delays.
