How to activate/validate printed tickets.

Hello,

I am trying to use the complementary companion day pass sent to me by SBB which is a printed (card) ticket. How do I activate/validate before I start the journey? Does this require just getting a time stamp before starting the journey? If so, can I do that in the local bus before I start the journey? Many thanks.

Yes, either in the bus, or at the bus stop, or by using an orange ticket stamping machine at the railway station. It must be validated before entering the public transport service.
