hi there i would like to know what is the best travel pass we will purchase as we are group of friends and family travel together with the group 13 adults 2 youth and 1 15yo. we are base in zurich for 3 days then interlaken for 4 days. your advise is much appreciated

Travelling with such a large group certainly needs an accurate upfront planning.

Group tickets might be an option, however, they need a prearrangement.

As part of individual tickets, the Swiss Travel Pass could be an option. It offers reductions for youth, as well as the free Swiss Family Card for your 15 yrs old.

Another option is the Swiss Half Fare Card for all travelers, plus individual point-to-point tickets or Saver Day Passes. Again, if a parent holds the Swiss Half Fare Card, there is the Swiss Family Card for your 15 yrs old.

In my opinion, it would be the best if you seek advice with an Rail Travel Center agent upon your arrival to dicuss the ticket option for each of your excursion.

Personally, I wondered why you have chosen Zurich as a base. If you gonna stay in Switzerland for the first time, Lucerne would have been the better choice, as it is much more Swiss. Also, Interlaken is okay as a travel hub, however, it isn’t particularly Swiss; it is host to primarily tourists from Asia, India, and the Middle East. It has a lot of Asian restaurants. You should plan mountain excursions to Grindelwald / Wengen / Mürren / Schynige Platte, or boat cruises on Lake Brienz and Lake Thun.

thanks for your feedback.
I tried to worked it out what travel pass we could get. if we can get the discounted one in sbb for a group of 10 for swiss pass and i will get a family pass for 15y.o with the 1parent and i will get 2 youth pass in klook is that possible? klook is more cheaper for youth or does anyone tried klook?
we are base in zurich cost our arrival is a bit early and we can leave our luggage in the locker and explore in zurich. in the following day our next trip is lucerne plus mt pilatus then bern on following day. Our next base is interlaken and we have to explore one day at the time in grindelwald first, lauterbrunnen, mureen if we have time and jungfraujoch on our last day.

any suggestion if we have missed something?
