Need help with GA purchase options

Hi.
My daughter (16 years old) will need a GA travel card from Monday 8th Jan. She currently has a Half Fare card with 4 months validity left.
My husband will require a GA travel card from 1 March. He currently also has a Half Fare card (no idea about the validity!).

Obviously the family deal on GA’s makes the most sense, but I am not clear if I can purchase my daughter a full price youth GA now, and then my husband will be eligible for the reduced price GA in March?
Or does the reduced price only work if the main GA holder is an adult?
I know this would be the cheapest option overall by just over CHF 100, but my daughter really needs the GA asap, and all the alternative travel cards will end up costing a lot more.

Unfortunately, this is not possible. The main GA holder must be the parent’s one. The GA from your husband cannot be linked with the one from your daugther, only the other way round.

So, you either purchase a GA Youth and will convert into a GA Famila Youth once your husband has got his GA as well, or your husband purchases his GA at the same time as your daugther.

Yes, a Youth GA can serve as a main GA, but only in the event the parent still falls into category Youth. I am not sure if this is the case with your husband 🙂
