Dear SBB Community,
I would appreciate some guidance regarding a situation I recently faced with my existing travel card. While I already possess a travel card, I realized after a recent inspection that it did not contain the correct pass for my current travel needs.
Immediately following the inspection, I purchased the appropriate regional travel pass. My query is: Is it acceptable to update my travel card with the correct pass immediately after an inspection, and can this be considered valid for the journey on which the inspection occurred?
I understand the general rule is to have a valid pass at the time of travel, but this was an honest oversight on my part. I seek advice on whether my immediate action to rectify the mistake by purchasing the right pass can be seen as compliant with SBB policies, especially considering the timing of the purchase relative to the inspection.
Thank you for your assistance in this matter, and I look forward to any advice or information you can provide to help clarify this situation.
