HI, I am traveling to Switzerland from Australia and will be in Switzerland for between 7 and 10 days in July. I will not be traveling every day and I think the best option for me is the half price card and then to prepurchase some super saver day passes for the days I will be travelling. My question is - I want to travel in July but I want to purchase the card now so that I can then purchase my super saver day passes at half price. Can I buy the half price card for the month of July but use it now and at other times before July to make half price purchases of super saver day passes?

Kindly note, you are referring to the Swiss Half Fare Card and the Saver Day Pass.

Swiss Half Fare Card – Switzerland at half the price | SBB

Saver Day Pass – book earlier, travel cheaper | SBB

Yes, you are eligible to buy the Saver Day Pass at half fare even though you are not yet in the possession of a Swiss Half Fare Card. You must be in the possession of it latest when you board a train or other public transport service. The ticket inspector will be interested in seeing your SDP as well as your Swiss Half Fare Card.
