Ckerrimboin72 Hi there we’ve reserved 7 seats in 1st class so we could sit together but the reservations seem to be in two groups Is there any way if finding a seat plan. It’s Zurich Flughafen to Visp IC 820
RolandP Hello Ckerrimboin72 Yes, because there are only 6 seats in a row. The seat numbers in Swiss trains are not consecutive. See: Can you tell me the seat numbers? You could have saved the seat reservation, it would not have been needed for this journey. https://community.sbb.ch/blog/23887-demystifying-seat-reservations-on-swiss-trains-a-comprehensive-guide Kind regards, Roland
Ckerrimboin72 Hi thank you for your reply. I’m travelling with elderly parents and young children so didn’t want to risk the rush like we had last time. Seats Class1 Coach 2 Seat 163, 164, 165, 166, 153,154,155. Thank you! Regards
RolandP Hello Ckerrimboin72 There you go. As you can see, these are two four-seats compartments next to each other, in the upper deck. One has a table. I hope the picture clarifies your question. Kind regards, Roland
Ckerrimboin72 Thank you so much for doing that. Puts my mind at ease that we’ll all be together! Thanks again for your time. Much appreciated 👍🏼👍🏼 😊
Mifodee34 Hello, I am traveling from Munich to Zurich on 9.29.24. I selected 1st class with side by side and coach with table. Our seat numbers are 63 and 65. Based on your photo, does that mean we will be seated next to each other with a table in between and 2 seats across facing us? My preference was to have 2 seats next to each other with no one across from us facing us. I guess I should change it to no table in that case?
Danhiel Mifodee34 So you won’t be surprised, trains from Munich to Zurich are rarely on time and often terminate in Winterthur, but I hope you will be lucky that day.
Krist The train to Munich is a different type of train. Seats 65 and 63 are indeed just two seats next to each other, with no facing seats. Exactly what you wanted.
Mifodee34 Thanks so much for the replies!! Would you recommend a better route from Munich to Zurich that’s more consistent?
Danhiel Mifodee34 No, this is the best route when the train are on time. The delays are a recurrent problem in all Germany, a third of the long-distance trains arrive late. The Swiss network is very busy and you also have engineering works who limit the access to Zurich station. It is nearly impossible to insert delayed trains between the other planed trains.
