I bought a 3-day Swiss Travel Pass for my family of 3 to start 12-03-24 but something came up and would like to use it 11-03-24, can I use my pass a day early? If not, what should I do?

And also, if I buy ticket in advance using the Swiss Travel Pass discount, can I still use that ticket even after my Swiss Travel Pass expires?

In this case you have to cancel your Swiss Travel Pass and purchase a new one for a day earlier. Or, you use a Saver Day Pass instead:

If you want to cancel it, contact the point of sales. If it was SBB, then you can request a refund here, a CHF 10 admin fee will be deducted, though:

No, if you use a ticket whose reduction is based on the Swiss Travel Pass, the Swiss Travel Pass has to be valid, too. The legimation for a reduction is being checked on the day of actual use, not on the day of purchase.

Thank you Roland for your reply. I decided to purchase a Saver Day Pass for that specific date for CHF183 to use for a train ride from Luzern to St. Moritz which is actually the same amount for just a train ride assuming we catch all connections. Saver Day Pass is the best the way to go in case we miss the train.

I’ll use up my extra day of my 3-day Swiss Travel Pass to Jungfraujoch so I could get a discount.
