Hello, can someone clarify the use of a FIP International reduced rate card.
As I understand it, it can be used on single, return and round trip tickets.
Can it also be used on supersaver single ticket bought in advance?

Yes, it can be used for Supersaver tickets as they are considered single journey tickets.

FIP discount cards are valid for

Single journey tickets;
Tickets for single and return journeys;
2-journey tickets for a return journey;
Supplementary tickets needed for class upgrades and route changes;
SCIC-NRT tickets

available at reduced (½) price for the following classes:

with 1st class FIP discount cards: 1st and 2nd class;
with 2nd class FIP discount cards: 2nd class only.
