Yes, you can use the Half Fare option, it is the resident’s equivalent of the Swiss Half Fare Card which is for tourists.
When you purchase the ticket as a registered user, the system will remember your Half Fare settings. Same when you add co-passengers on tab Profile. There you can register any further members of your travel group and also have the Half Fare option set for them. When you purchase tickets, you can select for whom you want to purchase the tickets. Simply click on the pen icon, which is displayed above the connections list.
The same is possible for the SBB website. Simply connect with your account, then do the setting and the system will remember it.
When the ticket inspector comes along, you have to present the reduced ticket as well as the QR code of your Swiss Half Fare Card. In addition, e-tickets require your physical passport upon ticket check.
