Would like some help here regarding SBB CFF FFS train ticket purchasing, please…
I am a UK resident and am traveling to Switzerland in 2 weeks.
I have previously started a post after failing to purchase train tickets and the staff members kindly suggested I use a different bank card to ensure '‘3D secure’' is in use.
However, since then, after a week of attempts, the furthest I can get to on the official ticket purchasing webpage is a page stating: '‘Unfortunately, an error has occurred.’' - and a different issue has been happening on the mobile app that when I proceed to the payment page, it states it’s going to charge CHF 0.00 which = also an unsuccessful purchase.
As I was casually browsing the UK travel app '‘trainline’‘, I noticed that tickets are shown there as available at the same price e.g. Zurich HB to Bern at £29, etc. Has anyone purchased their train tickets on ’‘trainline’' instead of the official SBB CFF FFS website? Would there be any problem when e.g. the train staff check tickets and these app tickets would be deemed fraud?
