Travel from Strasbourg to Basel

Hi,

Any idea if I can use the opportunity when going back from Strasbourg, to step off on Colmar, spend a few hours there and then take a connection to Basel using the same ticket?
When buying from Sbb app for something outside CH there is no option to choose a specific type of ticket, I only get ‘ Saver Offer Flex’. I’m not sure what that means, if I can use those tickets as day tickets.

In Ticketshop SBB.CH you will find good internationals offer from Strasbourg to Basel. I suggest you to check also offers at SNCF-connect from Strasbourg to Colmar and Colmar to Basel. May be SNCF can propose you day pass for travelling in Alsace..

I’m not sure if it is possible, but you can buy two tickets Strasbourg-Colmar and Colmar-Basel. I don’t think that the price is higher and you are sure to have no problem.

With a flex ticket, you can use another train as indicated, earlier or later on the same day, but only TER (regional trains), no TGV.
