Hello Vomoulluequ21
The Golden Pass is marketed as a train from Lucerne to Montreux while such does not exist in reality. The real Golden Pass train only runs between (Interlaken - ) Zweisimmen and Montreux. You will not read Golden Pass anywhere in Lucerne, as the train is named Lucerne Interlaken Express. You will definitely have to change trains in Interlaken.
Only the Golden Pass Express (GPX) runs as far as Interlaken from Montreux. If you want to ride the Golden Pass Panoramic, for example, you would to travel to Zweisimmen, the regular terminus station of the Golden Pass.
Thus, you have to travel:
- Lucerne - Interlaken
- Interlakken - Zweisimmen
- Zweisimmen - Montreux
→ You can find the timetable using the SBB trip planner on www.sbb.ch/en
Simply enter From Lucerne to Montreux, via Interlaken, via Zweisimmen (activate the via field in the trip planner’s settings first). The PE trains are the trains you have to look for. See my example below.
→ If you leave Lucerne at 09:06 AM, you can travel to Montreux with one change only, joining the GPX at Interlaken for Montreux. For the GPX, a seat reservation is recommended: www.gpx.swiss
When you purchase a ticket from Lucerne to Montreux via Zweisimmen, it is valid on all trains serving that route. Simply go to the SBB travel center in Lucerne and tell the ticket clerk you want to travel from Lucerne to Montreux using the panoramic trains. A Saver Day Pass (purchase in advance) would work as well.
Kind regards,
Roland
