Regarding your Swiss Half Fare Card, it is true that accompanied children under the age of 16 travel free of charge. It is essential, however, that when purchasing the Swiss Half Fare Card, you also add the children to the shopping cart. This way, the Family Card will be generated. Is it possible that this step has not been taken by your agency?
If so, it is normal that the ticket inspector sold you the Junior Travelcards for your children, as there was no Family Card linked to your passes. All information is available here.
