Swiss Travel Pass

Hi,

I will be visiting Switzerland soon for a couple of weeks. I plan to purchase a Travel Pass.

Can you please tell me if this pass includes free rail to and from Evian-les-Bains, FR? I see there are trains of course. I am not sure since it crossing into France, if they are still covered by the Swiss Travel Pass?

No, the trains to Evian are not covered by the STP. The validity of the STP terminates at Annemeasse. However, the boat from Evian to Lausanne is included.

Please note: should you consider making Evian your base (e.g. for economic reasons) that would be a bad idea. It is too remote to visit our country. You would spend a lot of time on “commuting”.

The youth hostel in Interlaken, or any other youth hostel in Switzerland, which all have a high standard, offer great value for individual travelers, even for families.
