Use of Point to Point

I have an information overload reading about Point to Point.

So my question is if I start from Interlaken for example from 07:00 to Luzern and back to Interlaken in the evening of the same day, can I just buy one single Point to Point ticket since the validity of this ticket is until 5am?

Ckigheashoi22 Point-to-point tickets are valid only in one direction. You have to buy two tickets:

— Interlaken Ost - Luzern
— Luzern - Interlaken Ost

Or you can buy a return ticket in the mobile app, but the price is the same as two one way tickets.

A Saver Day Pass could be cheaper, but it is not refundable if you change the day of the trip:
