Which SBB Discount cards are for swiss residents that cover the whole switzerland?

There is the Half Fare Card, which entitles you to purchase tickets at a reduced fare.

Or, within fare networks, there are yearly subscriptions which cost less if bought for the entire year, compared to the monthly subscription. More about the Basel fare network, please see here:

Hi,

Half Fare Travel Cards cane be purchased by permanent Residents?

Yes Employer has provided the TNW Card discount. I am looking for something for me and my family which enables us to travel inside all of Switzerland.

I was thinking of getting a family card if that is available for residents.

There exists the Half Fare Card for residents, and the Swiss Half Fare Card for tourists.

For the kids, aged 6 to 15.99 you can get the Junior Card.

I suggest that you should go and seek assistance from a ticket clerk at the SBB Travel Center at Basel SBB station. Simply tell the colleagues what you need and they will help you purchase the ticket.

In addition, you will need the SwissPass travel card, on which the Half Fare Card and the Junior Card will be saved. All will be arranged by the colleagues in the travel centre. You can even arrange an appointment through this website; by doing so, you can bypass the queue:

I already have the swiss pass, so now as i understand i will take the Half fare travel card for adult for the whole year for 190 CHF.

Exactly. If you have the SwissPass already, you can purchase the Half Fare Card online, or at the counter. From next year, you will benefit from a lower cost as there is a loyalty discount for the Half Fare Card.

For the Junior Card, for the first order, you have to see an agent. You have to bring documents to prove that you are a family. The Junior Card costs CHF 30 per child/year, with it, your kids can travel with you anywhere free of charge. If they travel alone, the either need a half fare point-to-point ticket or a Day Pass for Children.
