Hi everyone, I will be moving from Geneva to Milan (Italy) regularly (weekly / biweekly). Are there carnets or monthly/yearly subscriptions that I can use to save money?

For Switzerland, from Geneva to Domodossola, you have the Half Fare Travelard, the Half Fare Travelcard PLUS or the GA Travelcard. You should evaluate the number of trips every month, it will be easier to give an advice.

For Italy, from Domodossola to Milan, please note that trains will be replaced by buses this summer and you will pay only 10 € (one way). The normal price is 25 € in Eurocity (one way, second class).
Trenitalia offers a Travelcard for 170 € monthly (second class).

Danhiel Thank you! I did not know anything about the buses… is it a temporary issue? I will move weekly (so 4 times a month) until july/august, then I do not know.

Ghivuariegl47 The line between Domodossola and Milan will be closed between June 9th and September 8th 2024.

For Switzerland:

8 one way tickets cost 300 CHF (second class) with the Half Fare Travelcard for one month, 1200 CHF for 4 months.

I think that you could buy a Half Fare Travelcard and an Half Fare Travel Card PLUS 1000. You will get a bonus of 200 CHF or 400 CHF if you are under 25:
