Tickets for Kids (below 6 Years)

Hi All,

I am travelling with 2 daughter’s (aged 3 and 5 years old). Can you please confirm if all the travel (bus,train,boats,..etc) in Switzerland is FREE for them or do I have purcahse ticket for them in any special circumstances?

The travel is free for children below 6 years of age, no matter if they are accompanied or travel alone.

An exception is panoramic trains with mandatory seat reservation, for example the Glacier Express, or trains with recommended seat reservation. You should also reserve a seat for your kids to be sure that they can sit.
