Since yesterday am getting an error saying “Payment declined by your financial institution, please choose an alternate payment method.” when I try to buy a ticket or a day pass using sbb.ch or the app. I am from India and using the same cards I use to buy from sbb(bought a day pass last week itself). I checked with all my banks including Citibank and they confirmed that no transaction request was received at their end which they declined and the problem is at the sbb payment gateway.
Request you to please look into the matter with urgency as this is stopping foreign tourists like me from making any purchase at sbb. The issue has been occurring all of a sudden as I can confirm that last week I was able to buy a day pass successfully using one of my international credit cards.
