Hello Vaseaxe35
Please kindly note, the SBB Community is not the SBB Customer Service. We are a customer-to-customer support platform. If you want an official response from SBB, please use the respective contact form to reach out to SBB:
https://www.sbb.ch/en/help-and-contact/customer-service/praise-comments.html
Or call SBB by phone: +41 51 225 78 56 (24/7, waiting times may occur).
If you have not received a purchase confirmation e-mail, also not in your SPAM folder, it means the purchase was not successful. Even if your credit card was charged, this is not a purchase confirmation. Check again your credit card balance, I am sure the amount is back on your account now.
In order to successfully purchase tickets from SBB, your credit card must support 3D secure ID; the latter is a security standard often required by European webshops. Check with your bank if this setting is activated for your card or use another credit card.
Except for saver offers, there is no need to purchase train tickets in advance, you can simply purchase it from the SBB Travel Centre upon arrival. Regular public transport tickets in Switzerland neither do sell out, nor is the price different when purchased before travel.
Kind regards,
Roland
