Cohoon5 My family and I are traveling from Zurich to Lugano, and would love to incorporate the Gotthard Panorama Express in the trip. Is this covered under the Day Saver Pass? Do we need to reserve seats on any of the trains. Is ther e any challenge with train transfer times - meaning not enough time to transfer onto the Gottard 9I saw this mentioned elsewhere). Thank you so much for the help!
Danhiel Cohoon5 You can find informations about the Gotthard Panorama Express here: https://www.sbb.ch/en/leisure-holidays/trains-boats/panorama-trains/gotthard-panorama-express.html Saver Day Passes are valid, but a seat reservation is mandatory (CHF 24). You could also take regular trains on this line, for example the Interregio Treno Gottardo (IR 26/IR 46), without surcharge and without mandatory seat reservations.
RolandP Hello Cohoon5 The Gotthard Panorama Express requires a 1st class ticket, for example a 1st class Saver Day Pass, or a 2nd class Saver Day Pass plus a 1st class upgrade. In addition, in any case, a special seat reservation. Kind regards, Roland
Cohoon5 Thanks for the comments - I am also trying to call the SBB phone number from the US and I keep getting a “can’t be completed as dialed.” 011 (exist US service) 41 (country code) 848 44 66 88 per the website. What am I doing wrong?
