Yes, the Swiss Half Fare Card and the Supersaver tickets can be purchased/used together.
There is actually no need to purchase the Swiss Half Fare Card already now, it is sufficient to purchase it a day before use, thus on 04 October 2024.
In order to purchase tickets at half fare, you are not required to be in the actual possession of the Swiss Half Fare Card. Because whether you are eligible to use half fare tickets is being checked by the ticket inspector only.
Please keep in mind that Supersaver tickets are not refundable. If you purchase it 6 months in advance and something unforeseen happens in your life which makes the travel for you impossible, or you have to change plans, you will not be able to refund the ticket, or only in exceptional cases such as sickness. Therefore, normal fare tickets are more expensive but can be refunded at any point before travel.
