How to correct the start date of swiss travel pass

Yesterday I purchased the swiss travel pass for me and my wife. Unfortunately I did not change the valid from date - it is now set to May 4. I am arriving in switzerland only on June 22.

I have immediately filled out a form (linked from the their website) but wondering if there is any other followup I should do. I either need a refund or change of valid from date.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. This is a large amount ₁₆₀₀ USD so I hope SBB can help me out.

I advise you to call SBB: +41 51 225 78 56.

Your pass is active now and each day counts as used. You should stop it.

Thanks a lot. I called them and they agreed to cancel the ticket and refund 100%.

I am now waiting for funds to show up in my account before buying the new pass.

What a relief! I am happy SBB helped you out.

You are not in a hurry. You do not have to purchase the passes now, it is totally fine to get them a day before arrival. They do not sell out nor is the cost raising.

Personally, I wondered if we could make, as part of a user experience improvement, the start date a mandatory field, to be completed manually. From my experience, there are too many tourists having the same issue. It generates extra work at both ends.
