Is it free by TILO with Swiss Pass?

Dear all,
I plan to take train from Milan Malpensa airport to Belinzona by Tilo train.
If I have Swiss Pass, it’s free, right?

Sorry, it’s not free. You have to buy a ticket from the airport to the border station of Cantello Gaggiolo.

You can buy it on sbb.ch or in SBB Mobile app, but it is not a good idea to buy it in advance, the ticket is valid only 4 hours and will be no more valid if you flight is late.

If you want to buy the ticket in advance, buy it in the Trenitalia mobile app on your smartphone. An online check-in is necessary, but you could change the selected train if you are late before the check-in.

You could also buy the ticket at the airport station. These tickets must also be validated before boarding the train.

Gopoacha25 The SwissPass is a card with a NFC chip and a photo. The Swiss residents can load monthly or annual travelcards on this card, but you need also an account to receive and pay the bills.

I have the other question and hope to have reply here.
Originaly I plan to take train from Milan to Tirano in July, and then transfer to Chur to see Kreisviadukt von Brusio. However, I find no avialbe tickets between June 09 to Sep. 08, and can’t find any news. Will Trenitalia stop during that period?

Gopoacha25 I guess that the timetable for the regional trains between Milan and Tirano will be later published. If the line is closed for any reason, for example engineering works, replacement buses are running. It is not necessary to buy tickets in advance, no seat can be reserved.

On 09 June, there will be another timetable change in Italy. They do have two timetable changes per year. It’s likely that not all schedules have been loaded into the timetable yet.

Here is another possible and scenic routing. A Saver Day Pass might be the best ticket for such a trip, together with an Arcobaleno ticket for Milano to Lugano.
