Lugano to Tirano to Chur including Bernina Express

Hello! We wish to book Milano -> Lugano then next day Lugano-> Tirano to join the Bernina Express to Chur then Chur -> Zug all First Class. We then have a final journey 11 days later Zurich to Geneva.
I did see a Swiss Travel Pass 4 days +1 extra day. Do the days have to be consecutive or is it ANY 4 days within a certain period of usage?
Do we need this pass AND a separate ticket for the Bernina Express?

The Swiss Travel Pass is valid for the selected number of days in a row. For your needs, the Swiss Travel Pass FLEX would be a better option because with the FLEX you can choose the days yourself.
