Does Swiss Half Fare Card Still Cover Gondola/Lift/Trams/Etc

We will travel to Switzerland this Sept-Oct, and have purchased a Swiss Half Fare Card on our last such trip in 2014. We will visit Luzern, the Berner Oberland, and Zermatt. The description of rides covered by the Swiss Half Fare Card does not list various lifts, gondolas, cog-trains or trams like one would find on our trip. From my notes from that 2014 trip, our half fare card did cover most such rides. I want to make sure it still does before we purchase. I appreciate your advice!

Yes, there are many gondola and cable car operators that accept the (Swiss) Half Fare Card, this has not changed. To know whether it is accepted for a particular ride, simply check the operator website of that gondola or cable car. There, they do mention whether the HFC is accepted.

Or, use the SBB Mobile app, activate the Half Fare Card setting, and enter the base station (e.g. Grindelwald, Firstbahn) and the mountain station (First (Grindelwald) of a desired gondola ride. The SBB Mobile app will let you know the cost considering your HFC, where applicable.

You may also use the area of validity map:
In the top left box, select your pass/card type (2nd option for half fare) and check the respective meaning of the line types/colors in the map by clicking the (i) symbol. Then navigate to your area of interest and zoom in to the max in order to display as many mountain rides as possible. Not every single chairlift (operating at all during summer) might be displayed even at max. zoom, but in such cases, full fare usually applies to everyone (but is usually not THAT expensive).

Local mass transit (not primarily for tourism purposes) is always covered by the half fare card.

Thank you. We plan on buying 2 half-fare cards before we leave the US so we will have them once in Switzerland.
