Sncf ticket

I purchased a ticket from zurich hb to mannheim hb via sncf connect yesterday and was told to get the eticket from france kiosk machine. I am in switzerland now and need to go to germany tomorrow. I need the tickets and i am unable to get it now. I need help

That’s a pitty, you should have checked the conditions upon purchase…

You cannot retrieve your SNCF ticket in Switzerland and must purchase a new ticket from either SBB or DB.

The ‘ticket’ you purchased from SNCF is not valid for travel as it consists of a reservation only. The paper ticket valid for travel is solely generated once you retrieved it from a ticket machine in France. If you travel with your SNCF reservation only, you will be fined for travelling with an invalid ticket.

Zürich to Mannheim you should have bought with SBB or DB. Both could have sold you an electronic ticket. SNCF can for some reason only produce paper tickets for foreign trains. And these you need to pick up in France. When you book such tickets you do get a warning that it must be picked up in France.

See if you can cancel your ticket with SNCF (as you have not yet picked it up that should be possible), and then buy a ticket at the station in Zürich before you leave tomorrow.

From May 23rd, it will be no more possible to buy such tickets on SNCF Connect, but tickets from Zürich to Mannheim are still available, with the TGV via Mulhouse! I think that the SNCF converts its system for international electronic ticketing. In France, IATA-style tickets on security paper are no more delivered for internal trips, they give only a QR code on normal paper.
