What? Can you name me any known regulation, recommendation or best practice, why an operator of a complex website such as SBB should fully support any VPN service located in whatever dodgy country and operating under the jurisdiction of possibly another dodgy country regarding data privacy? Which is Panama(!) in the case of NordVPN, by the way,
I don’t want to allege anything at all, but VPNs are not always used with the best intentions. Reading e.g. => this article may help understand further.
So should this discussion not lead to a solution (which I do hope for you nevertheless), you still have two options at the moment:
- Deactivate the VPN while using SBB online services
- Go to staffed ticket counters or vending machines… the tickets you’re getting there are completely anonymous… especially if paying cash. 😉
