I need help getting a group of 8 people sitting together. I have bought the tickets and the seat assignments but they are not together. Please help

I second Krist’s advice.

Without any indication on the train, we cannot help. SBB is not the only train operator in Switzerland.

The seat numbers are not logical. They are probably together.

If they are not actually together, you can politely ask the other passengers to move to another seat.

You can also sit in other seats as a group - as long as they are not reserved. Please note: on many trains the reservations are not marked.

For which train did you buy seat “assignments”?

Normally the system will assign you seats together automatically. Since hardly anybody reserves seats on Swiss trains that should have been no issue in your case.
