Is there any problem in Switzerland on July 8 or July 9 or is it a holiday?

I’m looking for the above routes, but only they are not available on July 8 and 9. I was wondering if there is a reason for that?

departure from Grindelwald at 09:17 AM -> Arrival to Domodossola at 11:54 AM

This summer, there will be no direct train connections from Spiez to Milan via Domodossola. Part of the train line is being replaced by buses and train services are limited.

I can’t see any problem on 8th to 9th July 😉. But probably there are some problems from Brig - Simplontunnel - Domodossola. Unfortunately i don’t find any information in SBB timetable why i should travel by bus via Simplonpass:

I’ve already know that there would be construction and have to transfer to the bus from this June.

But I just wondered why it would only be closed for those two days.
(I checked and saw that this route exists until July 7. and also from July 10).

Based on your description, I think it’s probably just two-day closure because of some construction site reasons.
