Hello fellow travellers, I’m hoping someone has already done this trip and can advise.
I am travelling to Zermatt using the Swiss travel card (50% discount for UK travellers). I have opened an account and plan to purchase the tickets through this one account for my whole family (3 tickets.) Is this the correct way?
I wish to pre-purchase the Matterhorn paradise tickets but the website states no mobile passes as shown below:
“Please note that discounted tickets are exclusively available with a valid SBB half-fare/GA travelcard and must be charged onto the SwissPass card. Please carry the SwissPass card with you (mobile SwissPass is not possible).”
Does this refer to a printed PDF sheet showing the ticket information ? I’m slightly worried as it is a large expense to buy upfront, but concerned as only there for a few hours and I don’t want to miss out on this ? I will be unable to get the pass delivered to the UK I expect so will not have a card.
Has any UK traveller completed this and can advise of how best to purchase tickets?
Thanks in advance.
Apologies if this has been asked a million times already :-)
