Arcobaleno Transfrontaliera Day Pass

Hi, I am confused about the validity route for this pass. Is this valid for my trip from Lugano to Milano Centrale also? Can I use this pass to go to Lake como (with bus) ?

Hello Rosehill

In Italy, the Arcobaleno Transfrontaliera Day Pass is only valid on the selected direct route. You cannot use it to travel elsewhere than indicated as departure/arrival station.

In Ticino, you can travel with it within the indicated zones.

All trips have to happen within the time of validity as indicated on the ticket.

So, when it is said on their website like this : “ it will be able to take advantage of the convenience of getting on buses, trains, boats (line 351 only) and funicular to visit the city or the chosen area in complete tranquility and completely without taking into account of other costs related to transport.”
My question is ,how far can I use the day pass If I buy a day pass from Como San Giovani to Lugano? Which buses and boats will be valid with the pass?

I can’find any information about a “Transfrontarlier Day Pass” for destination in italia. But Arcobale transfrontarlier tckets, as an exemple, Lugano - Milano retur to Lugano, are vailid the day of travel until 5.00 h in the morning.

You can also ask for assistance at point of sales Arcobalena c/o SBB Travel Center.
