What is the best (preferably direct) roundtrip route from Geneva to Liechtenstein?

I wonder why you wanted to visit Liechtenstein. It would not be my first destination to visit, to be honest. The castle cannot be visited, and you will not really notice that you are in Liechtenstein, apart from the black car plates.

You could travel:

Geneva - Olten - Zürich HB - St. Gallen - Sargans- Vaduz - Sargans - St. Gallen - Luzern - Interlaken Ost - Montreux - Lausanne - Geneva or Interlaken Ost - Bern - Lausanne - Geneva

Geneva - Olten - Zürich HB - St. Gallen - St. Margrethen - Vaduz - Sargans - Chur - Brig - Montreux - Lausanne - Geneva

RolandP Thank You! I was looking for “unique” places/different countries to travel apart from Geneva/Switzerland; I already have Lyon planned. A friend recommend Annecy, but I wanted to try another country – any other recommendations? Thank you in advance!

If you want something different go to eg. Basel. where you can pop up in to Germany, and even walk through three countries.
Liechtenstein is just sleepy town that nobody would bother visiting if it had not been for the fact that it is an independent country. If you expect to experience a difference you won’t. Most borders in Europe are transparent, and the people speak the same language, the houses look the same, the food is the same, pretty much everywhere at both sides of the border.
