Saver Day Pass provision for children while travelling with Parents

Even though it seems to be the case, I want to confirm. Our family of three (two parents and a 15-year-old son) are all new residents in Switzerland with Half-Fare Cards. Our son can travel for free with either parent (or both) without a ticket and only needs to purchase a ticket when travelling alone. I would like to confirm if this applies to Saver Day Pass tickets that also provide access to some mountains, for example
Mt. Rigi,
Stanserhorn
Rochers de Naye
Lauterbrunnen-Grustchalp-Murren-Gimmewald-Stechelberg <

Not entirely.

In order for your son to travel for free when accompanied by a parent, you need the Junior Card for him, this in addition to your Half Fare Card. The Junior Card costs CHF 30 per year.

When he travels alone, he needs a half fare ticket, or a Day Pass Children, what ever is cheaper. Or another travel card.

Go to see a counter agent to clarify with them all questions, that would be the most efficient for you.

Thank you so much. My son has this card, which he uses for his travels to school when we don’t accompany him. Do we still need him to get the junior travel pass you mentioned for the leisure trip with us?. Thanks.

If you want to take him on trips beyond the area of validity of his Mobilis travel card - yes.

However, I see that he already owns the Junior Card in addition. So you are all set, and he can travel with you anywhere in Switzerland (mountain excursions: provided the operator accepts the Junior Card). You do only need a ticket for the parents accompanying him.
